JULY 2022 MIGRANT FLIGHTS UPDATE
ARE THE BUSSES FROM TX GOV ABBOTT AND AZ GOV DUCEY DECREASING THE NUMBER OF FLIGHTS?
WHY ARE FLIGHT NUMBERS DECREASING?
Something weird has been going on with the numbers of Biden Migrant Flights. We KNOW that migrants are crossing the border in larger numbers than ever before both in Texas and in Arizona. But what we are not seeing that we have previously are the huge numbers of flights out of Texas and Arizona.
We know from Fox News’ Bill Melugin’s reporting from the border that one of the largest areas for border crossings lately has been in the Eagle Pass, TX which is part of the Del Rio Sector for US Border Patrol.
The closest airports to Eagle Pass are in Del Rio (Laughlin AFB (KDLF)), San Antonio (San Antonio Intl (KSAT) and Kelly Field (KSKF)) and Laredo (KLRD). While Laughlin was up for the month of July, the rest of the airports (collectively) are down versus June in terms of total numbers of flights.
So initially I wondered if maybe other airlines I don’t track were being used. I have examined flights into and out of all the airports to try to find another airline that may be used or other planes operated by the airlines I do track and I can not find any new planes or airlines (FYI I constantly track 86 planes from 5 different airlines).
Arizona is seeing a similar phenomenon with one airport having an increase (Phoenix-Mesa Gateway (KIWA) and others seeing decreases. Here are numbers for both areas:
But maybe what this reflects is larger numbers of illegals being bussed to DC and NYC by the Governors of TX and AZ. We know TX Governor Abbott is sending illegals to Washington DC and New York City as is Governor Ducey in Arizona.
Or maybe the Biden Admin is taking steps to hide how they are moving the migrants? Are they using busses for longer distances? Trains? I can’t determine it. I welcome thoughts and ideas if anyone knows!
A NEW AIRLINE APPEARS - GLOBALX
As Luke Rosiak, the great investigative reporter for the Daily Wire reported on June 21, 2022, the Biden Admin has started using an additional airline in moving migrants around the country. The GlobalX Airline, using only 6 of its fleet of planes, has flown over 850 since April this year, along the same migrant flight routes as the other “migrant flight” carriers (iAero, World Atlantic et al). It is difficult to know how many flights they may have flown previous to then as they don’t release any of this information willingly.
As with the other airlines I am ignoring flights that are most likely the “traditional” charter routes (Amsterdam to Greece or Cancun to Quebec City). But even removing these we see many flights that follow all the same paths- from the “Border” cities of Yuma, AZ, El Paso, TX, Alexandria, LA etc. to other locations within the US such as Westchester, NY. GLOBALX is also flying a lot of international flights including 150 flights to multiple cities in Cuba. The table below reflects only the top 15 flight destinations.
WHAT’S GOING ON IN CUBA?
Since I started tracking these flights last year we have seen huge numbers of flights to Cuba, more than any other country. I wrote in a prior article about the huge numbers of Cubans the Biden Admin is deporting, while flying other migrants from other countries throughout the US. Of the 4300+ Flights that are likely repatriation flights, almost 2,000 are to Cuba alone.
What is odd (beyond the total numbers of flights) is the recent change of airports. From July 2021 through May 2022, the only airport used was Jose Martin Int’l (MUHA) in Havana. But then in June of this year we started seeing other airports being used and in July those other airports accounted for more than half the flights to CUBA. And this is in addition to a huge increase in flights to Cuba (428 in July v 282 in June and 264 in May). So these other cities in Cuba were more than half the flights to Cuba.
I have no idea what, if anything, the use of the other airports means. It just makes one wonder why so many Cuban repatriations take place when people are not flown back to other countries in anywhere close to the same numbers.
What is also odd (and is not borne out by the flight information) is the claim by the Biden Administration that most Cuban migrants cross the border with America by land at the Mexican border. Also at odds is the Cuban report claiming that 855 Cuban migrants were sent back to Cuba from the US. (The report stated 1,255 total, of which 855 were from the US. The Cuban Government released the report on November 24, 2021. This would appear to be at odds with the 120 flights from the US to Havana in the July through November 2021 time period that I have documented (unless the Biden Admin is flying planes with 7 passengers which appears unlikely). The Biden Administration is also claiming that they are letting the majority of Cubans stay in the US but is turning away “the vast majority of individual adults arriving from Central America and Mexico.” Anyone paying attention to this debacle recognizes this is a lie.
I stated this in my prior article but given that Cubans tend to vote more conservatively (as they have seen firsthand the failures of Socialism) it is no real surprise the Biden Administration doesn’t want them here. At the same time, if one small island nation has had 2,000 repatriation flight, it truly begs the question how many illegals are being allowed to stay here in the US given the huge numbers being reported from other countries all over the globe.
NEW AIRPORTS
As has been discussed extensively here, the Biden Administration often flies to more remote, less visible airports when ferrying migrants in the US. Less passenger traffic means fewer people likely to witness a stream of illegals from a foreign country being put on a bus and delivered to your city or town. This is why so many flights arrive late at night as well which has been well documented by Miranda Devine in her reporting in the NY Post and Luke Rosiak at The Daily Wire.
When new airports are used is it a sign that more flights will go to those new locations? Are new airports used because the others they were using garnered too much public attention? Possibly. We certainly saw that occur in PA when news reports covered flights into Lehigh and other regional airports. The flights to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton garnered significant press attention after which the Biden flights suddenly shifted to Bradford Regional (KBFD) about 250 miles away. I covered this in my piece about Pennsylvania flights. This is not a mistake, this is by design.

Only a couple of flights have gone into each one (so far…), but that is how many of this begins- we see a couple of flights initially into a new airport, then in the weeks following they suddenly are used much more. This often happens when news of these flights hits the local press. Suddenly different airports are used which can only be described as the Biden Admin attempting to hide what is occurring. We saw it dramatically in New York when the first article in the NY Post hit on October 18, 2021. Notice the flights to Westchester and other airports in NY before and after Miranda Devine’s story:
CONCLUSION
The flights clearly are continuing throughout the US. But I am curious if the Biden Admin is using more busses or trains to move people as those cannot be tracked as easily. I welcome all comments or questions at: SocraticPatriot@protonmail.com.
